Terms and medical disclaimer
- Status
- Draft
- Effective from
- Not yet in effect — draft for review
- Issued by
- Madras Neuro & Eye Clinic
This wording is a draft prepared for review by legal counsel. It is published so the site is not silent on the point, and it will be replaced when that review is complete. Nothing here is a substitute for the clinic’s final terms.
These terms explain how the website and online appointment booking may be used, and the limits of the health information published here. Every clause is numbered so it can be linked to directly.
Part 1. About these terms
- 1.1
What they cover
These terms cover your use of this website — the pages you read, the contact details you use, and any appointment you book or manage through it. They do not govern the care the clinic provides in person, which is a separate matter between you and the treating clinician.
- 1.2
Draft for review
These terms are a draft prepared for review by legal counsel. They are not the clinic’s final terms. They are published in this form so that the limits on what this website does are stated plainly rather than left unsaid.
- 1.3
Language
These terms are published in English. Where a translation is offered for convenience and differs from the English, the English version is the operative one.
Part 2. What this website is for
- 2.1
Information and appointment booking
This website gives general information about the conditions the clinic treats and the care it offers, shows how to reach the clinic, and lets you book, reschedule or cancel an available appointment. It offers no online consultation, patient login, access to medical records or payment.
- 2.2
Educational content only
The information on this website is educational and general. It does not diagnose any condition and is not a substitute for advice about your own situation from a qualified clinician. Do not delay seeking care because of something you read here.
- 2.3
No doctor–patient relationship
Reading this website, contacting the clinic or booking an appointment does not by itself begin a clinical consultation or place any clinician under a duty to assess information submitted online. The clinical relationship begins when you are seen at the clinic.
Part 3. Appointments
- 3.1
When an appointment is booked
An online appointment is booked only when the website displays a booking confirmation after mobile verification. A selected time is not held while you complete the form or verification, and it may become unavailable before confirmation.
- 3.2
What you tell the clinic
Please give accurate information that you are entitled to share. If the booking is for someone else, submit it only if you are their parent or guardian, or are otherwise authorised to act for them. Keep the reason for visiting brief: it is copied to the appointment notes, but this website is not the clinic’s medical record.
- 3.3
How the clinic replies
The clinic uses the contact details you give for appointment administration. WhatsApp is used only where you have opted in separately, and those messages carry appointment logistics alone — never a diagnosis, condition or reason for the visit.
Part 4. Accuracy, changes and availability
- 4.1
Accuracy and review
The clinic aims to keep the content accurate and reviewed. Content may be updated, and services may change. Review dates on clinical pages show when the content was last reviewed and by whom.
- 4.2
Availability
This website is provided as it is. The clinic does not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, or that every page will be free of error or omission.
- 4.3
Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. The amended version applies from the effective date shown in the document header above and does not apply retrospectively to an appointment booked before that date.
Part 5. Other websites and services
- 5.1
External links
This website links to external sources such as health authorities for reference. The clinic is not responsible for the content of external websites, and a link is not an endorsement.
- 5.2
Third-party services
Tap-to-call, WhatsApp and any embedded map are operated by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. Charges levied by your telephone or internet provider may apply to your use of them.
Part 6. Questions about these terms
- 6.1
Who to ask
Questions about these terms, or about anything published on this website, can be put to the clinic directly using the details below. How the clinic handles personal data is set out separately in the privacy notice.
